1988 Honda Civic Blower Motor

I have recently replaced the blower motor and resistor in my car, due to the people that sold me the car said that their mechanic said it needed to be replaced. However, I still do not get it to turn on but the fuse is not blown. The only issue I see wiring wise is there is a slight nick in the fuse wire. Could this be the problem or the switch itself? If it is the switch how do you test it?

Thank You.

Hi brownat,

Check the blower motor connector Blue/white for power supply. If none, check under hood #19.

With switch off, ground the blue/black wire and if fan motor works, turn swith to 4 (max speed) and ground the Black wire from the switch connector. If motor works, the ground is bad, if not, the switch is faulty.
