1988 Honda Civic

hello.

i'm trying to swap my D-series engine (1500cc) automatic transmission with honda CRV engine (B20).

my old AT have throttle cable connect to throttle body to control rpm when shifting gear.

since my B20 engine doesn't came with AT, so I bought seperate AT, and I cannot find this Throttle cable.
my AT has 4 selenoid (like vtec selenoid) and something like big vacuum near the oil stick.

how to install this AT and make the rpm wont jumpy when shifting gear?

thank you

Hi Ctrl_Alt_Del,

The original trans is mechanically controlled while the CRV trans is electronically controlled. You would need to rewire the sytem and get the CRV PCM to match before it can work.

What is vacuum modulator used for?
Are they the same function as throttle cable?

Thank you

The only data I could find on the vacuum modulator is that it is the throttle valve "B" so it functions similar to the throttle cable.
