Hey!~ i have a 2002 Honda Civic LX (automatic) and i bought it brand new...i have always kept everything in check and what not....so here recently i moved to GA from NC and after that trip i noticed that my check engine light came on and wouldnt go off. so i went home check all my fluids and stuff and everything seemed to be normal. well the next time i drove it, everything locked up and cut off on me. so i had to put the car in park to start it back up. well ever since i have noticed that when my car gets a little bit under half a tank maybe around a quarter tank left it starts acting like its chokin and wants to cut off and makes my car slow down, also since i noticed that when i accelerate my car acts liek it doesnt want to change gears and over revs, i took it to the advanced auto parts place and they told me that i needed an new 02 sensor. but would the 02 sensor cause all those crazy problems????

Two things - did they come up with a code from the check engine light? Secondly, I would think that the O2 sensor would really cause the problems consistantly no matter what the level of the fuel tank is. Have you ever replaced the fuel filter? How many miles on the car? When was the last tuneup?
