When I put my car into park the RPM's immiediately begin to erratically surge up and down (as if I was pressing the gas). It does not do this when I start the car or when I am driving the car or stopped at traffic lights. It just started today when I parked my car. Why is it doing this? Is it safe to drive until I can get it fixed? Please help. It's a 1998 Honda Accord LX V6. Thanks :o

Yes it is safe to drive. You may have vacuum leak caused by a bad vac line or a seal. I can be caused by the cooling system and the need to have air purged from the system or a number of other causes.
