Check the cv boots on the car for cracks and tears. You might have a cv joint that is bad. Yours in this case could be very bad. Don't ignore it.
Check your engine coolant level and make sure it is full. When the system is warm slowly crack open a bleeder on the cooling system to let out air. Should be located on the top hose from the radiator near the head. Air in a system can cause the surging. Vac leaks can as well but they are usually a constant surge whether car is warm or cold.
