Honda Transmission Fluid Service

I have a Honda Accord LX 2006 with 30000 miles. I went to the dealership to do 30000 miles service on the car and the dealer changed transmission oil as part of the service. The car manual recommends changing transmission oil only after 60000 miles. Should the dealer have changed transmission oil at 30000 miles? If not, what should I do?

I am going to assume that you paid for it. I would ask them why they opted to replace it so soon. Was there something that concerned them enough to replace it? I don't want to spend anymore money than is necessary on the car either. I would mark that down for my personal records and when the 60k check comes, don't let them change it and remind them as to why you say that. Get there concurrence now and when the 60k check up comes. It shouldn't have been necessary to replace the fluid.
