Hi. My accord 91 135K did not start. It did not have spark. I replace the distributor (with the coil inside) from a yunk yard and the ca ran fine. A week later the car just died with out spark again. Got another distributor and the car is running fine. I am not sure if a got a bad distributor first time, or the car has some voltage or electric problem that is burning the distributor. How can I test the system to find out if there is some voltage or electrical problem?

Thanks

Putting in a used electronic part and having it fail is not uncommon. The only thing you can really check in there is the resistance of the high voltage ignition coil. Since the car is running, it is probably ok. I would check the spark plugs. If the gap is.080 inch, that is requiring more voltage than that little coil is capable of putting out and it may be damaged. The ignition module has to switch a higher current on and off so it will get stressed out and potentially fail. The other secondary components may have reached the end of their useful life. (Cap, rotor, wires). If you don't have some way to check the kilovolts passing thru the wires, I would replace all the secondary components unless you just did that too.
