The flapper valve is missing on my gas tank. The engine light came on and the car started jerking when I accelerate. After I filled up the tank, the jerking stopped. The tank wasn't that low, it only took 9 gal. and I have a 17 gal. tank. Did the missing flapper valve cause this?
The car works fine now and the engine light is off, but I am concerned because my warrenty expires next month.
