I get a chirping (almost sounds like an exhaust rellated type of sound) which is directly related to engine rpm and usually under certain driving conditions. Sound goes away when you take the power off (say disengage the cruise control or back off on throttle. Sound does not occur at all rpms. it may occur at 2500 rpm but not 2600 or 2400 Sound can occur at various rpms but usually in a narrow band of rpms.

Thanks, Dennis Stinson

Check your belt tension and condition. Also check for loose exhaust heatshields.
