my car is the 2.4 i-vtec honda accord 2006 model. recently i had the check engine amber caution light on. intially it was hard on. when i restarted the car it was off. this was good for a day or two then it came back. it was on for a 3 days and went off. it is intermittent. took it to a service centre and diognositc check revealed that one of the two oxygen sensor failed. here it costs a bomb. what will happen if i don't replace it? the OEM given part number is 36532-RAA-202. is there any alternate part that i can use with equal characteristics? please help.

Go for the OEM not the generic part. The CEL coming on might not be the problem instead could be the wiring or computer itself
