Heater not working?

I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my wife's car. She has had no heat for the last week coming out of her car. I checked the thermostat and even replaced it and the engine cooling system functions properly. I felt the heater hoses that go into the cab to the heater core and they are stone cold even after I had the car running for over 30 min. What part could cause this to happen. Please let me know if you need any additional information. Thank you.

More than likely you have an issue with the heater core, control valve, or the cable for the valve.

What I would do is remove the inlet line to the control valve and then move the cable to find out if it is just bypassing the heater core. This would cause no hot coolant to flow to the heater core.

Also you could just feel the lines going to the valve and coming from it and if they are hot then this is the issue.
