Hi, I recently got a certified preowned car (this is my first car and don't know much about cars). Its 57 k miles driven. There are 2 charger outlets, one near the shift knob and the other in the box between two front seats. All the electrical system seems functional, including the battery but one of the chargers near the shift knob does not seem to work. (I have tried different adapters). Can you help, whats wrong and how expensive is it gonna be?

Hi there,

the first thing to do is check the power supply at the out let, with a test light attached to a good earth carefully probe the center contact of the power out let, if it lights up the problem will be the earthing of the out let, if no power, you will have to check that it has not become unplugged and if that is not the case start checking fuses, but if the other outlet is ok, I feel it will be a problem with the out let or its conection to the loom.
