I have a 2006 Honda Accord with 24,000 miles on it. While I'm driving I hear a noise that sounds like rattling chains. It's not a constant noise though. I don't understand why my car should be making any type of noises being that it's only 2 years old. I got the car in Dec. 2005. The noise is very irritating and I can't figure out why it rattles sometimes and not all the time.

Don't know why either but besides the rattling chains sound can you provide more like if accelerating changes it, location of vehicle, etc.

No, nothing changes. It happens whether I'm accelerating, braking or just coasting. The car doesn't slow down or anything. It makes the noise and then it stops. It runs smoothly. It's just that noise. I want to take it to a shop but I don't want to be charged 80 bucks for them to run a diagnostic test and then it's something simple.
