I've got the exact same problem in my '04 accord, 94k miles... starts shaking at 60, stops at about 70, but only when I press the accelerator, and it shakes harder the more I press it.

The problem was first diagnosed by Tire Kingdom as a bent drive axle; fortunately I didn't get it fixed right there. I just yesterday took it to a Honda service center and they determined the drive axle is fine but something in the transmission is causing the problem. I don't know if it is a repairable problem, or even if it serious or just an annoyance. Since I'm selling the car in a few months, I'm going to leave it alone.

Just to be clear though, the problem is most definitely *not* alignment or wheel balance, nor is it the CV joint.

Hi ChewySJU, legitimate007, jotakami

There is probably something wrong with the torque converter.

Hi legitimate007, so all is well. Sorry did not reply to you earlier.
