gear stick wont move to reverse or drive or anyother position from park.i have to press that small switch that is located right next to it.it just suddenly happened.

Hi, Check Your Brake Lights First. Verify That They Are working.If So, Then The Shift solenoid Is Bad .Some Of Them Are Located At The Shifter , And Some are Near the Ignition switch.
