My 2004 honda accord make a clicking noise when I shift the gear from neutral to drive and same kind of noise when I shift the gear from neutral to reverse. Is the a problem? This noise does not come when the vehicle is moving. It makes this noise only when I shift gears from neutral to reverse and neutral to Drive. I took the car to dealer. Dealer said, it is common. He says when the gear is engaged, it makes this noise. Is the true? Please let me know

Hi there,

I would get a second opinion from a transmission specialist, as there really should be no noise in the transmission, it may be a selector issue, but get it looked at by a second tech to be sure.
