I was driving back from Ohio to New York and it's about an 8 hour drive. When I almost got home I was pulling off from a toll booth and noticed a sudden loss of power. The car wouldn't shift and it's revving abnormally. Then I eased off on the gas a little and slowly it started to pick up but still was jerking and a couple of times it down shifted and the revs would go up to 5 or 6 thousand. The check engine light came on and the D4 and D3 and P lights were flashing. I managed to make it home which was about 3 miles drive. Then after leaving the car off for about 3 or 4 hours I went back to the car to check it and it was driving fine but I can still feel a little hesitation in the gear change. Then the next day it's almost gone I cant really feel any problem changing gears but I'm also not really driving it fast just normal. I heard that the V6 has tranny issues but the 4 cyl you rarely hear of anything. Someone was saying that maybe the long drive overheated the transmission. The check engine light went off for a day but then it came back on and it wont go away. Keep in mind I bought this car 2 years ago from a lady who only drove on the weekends and she only had 29K miles on it and in the last 2 years I drove 31K miles does that have anything to do with it. Thank you in advance for any help!!
