engine codes P0506

2003 HONDA ACCORD

The engine surges at idle at times with the ac kicking off. The engine is coding Idle control system rpm low and the first code was the same but with a pending. I was wondering if the is a common thing on these 03 Honda accords. I also was wondering if you could direct me in the rifght direction to fix my problem.

Hi chispis1,

I would suggest cleaning the throttle body and IAC valve as a start. The throttle body and IAC air passages could be dirty and partially clogged causing the low idling rpm and the error code.
