I have been fighting a vibration in my 2002 Accord since they put new tires on it a year ago at the dealership. However, it is only evident in the winter time (or cold weather). During the summer months, it is smooth as silk. About 2 months ago I put new Michelin Cross Terrain tires on my 2004 Yukon XL and now I have the same issue with that vehicle. We just got back from a 1,000 mile holiday trip and the truck shook so bad our youngest got sick (literally!). The only commonality between the two vehicles are the new tires and the fact that both of them were filled with Nitrogen instead of regular, compressed air (70-80% Nitrogen anyway). Can the Nitrogen cause the vibration?

Well ok. You buy these tires and you have them installed. Well, I would think it would be the nitrogen in the tires. If both of your vehicles are doing it with the nitrogen, it wouldnt hurt to just air them up with comp. Air, I would reccomend you to just let all that nitrogen out and air them up regularly, and yes the cold weather does effect nitrogen.
