2002 Honda Accord Rear axle hub spindle nut

2002 Honda Accord

I'm doing brakes on this. Is it necessary to use a new spindle not on the hub? I think I can wedge the staked part of the nut out enough to get it off. I figure I could just stake it back in the recess on the spindle. Just wanna make sure that thing will hold.

Hi 1cm2,

Recommendation is for new nut but if it can be staked after installation, should not be any problem.

Important thing is correct torque of nut.
