What damages can occur if oil cap came loose or off while driving??? How can fix it?

Hi there,

if you loose to muck oil you run the risk of doing internal damage to the engine, also there is the very real chance of an under bonnet engine fire. the oil cap should lock down snugly if not the seal may be missing, replace the cap and give the engine a good wash down
