I have taken my car to a meineke car care center and they have advised me mt head gasket is shot water is coming out the exhaust pipe and engine light on
they estimate as repir of $1,000
what do you think?

yes engine has overheated water came out exhausr pipe coolant loss and engine light onr

Too bad, the head has to be taken off to rectify the problem. However the $1000 is an estimate. It could be cheaper or more expensive depending on the extend of the damage.
