Heater problem
2002 Honda Accord 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 47080 miles

I live in Texas and just got my state inspection for my vehicle.
After getting the inspection done, I drove home and was in for the day. The next time I got in my car the check engine light was on.
I got the code read at Autozone, and it was a P0135 code. The readout said:
Definition: A/F sensor 1 heater system malfunction
Probable Cause:
1 - Open or short circuit condition
2 - Poor Electrical Connection
3 - Faulty A/F sensor 1

Here is my question, could the place that did my state inspection could have done something to cause this, intentionally or unintentionally?

Thanks in advance for any responses!
