2001 Honda Accord what's wrong?

i had my transmission replaced in my honda this year and it started making a high pitched noise at 30 mph to about 50 mph. why would it do that? also, today my gear shift got stuck in park and i had to use the shiftlock override to get it out, now thats the only way i can get it out of park. can you please tell me whats wrong with my car?

Hi Remy0219,

The interlock syatem is malfunctioning. Check for a blown brake fuse and test if the brake lights are working. You could have been driving around without the brake lights.

The whining noise is due to bad bearings in the trans and you need to rebuild the trans to rectify.
