My car won't start, when it stopped it was revving up uncontrollably, and then it turned off. it also had a smell coming from under the car. we changed the clutch, fuel pump/ strainer, fuel pressure regulator, master slave cylinder, and the battery. i took it to the dealer and they are saying that it has bad gas in the tank, so we are cleaning the tank...i have already spent over 1100 dollars in trying to diagnose and repair the problem, but i don't know who to trust anymore and i dont have much money. i am just trying to get my car up and running and locate the problem, can you help me?

Well what have you tested? Is there spark? Is there fuel pressure? If so, is the spark strong? And what is the fuel pressure at?

Have you checked your timing marks yet?
