Engine Performance problem
2000 Honda Accord 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Blew my head gasket. So I got a top half kit and changed the top half of my engine. Car starts right up fine. When in idle it fluctuates a little. When I step on the pedal to rev the engine and let go the car dies. While accelerating car idle drops down and loses power. Then it regains power and then drops back down. Going uphill or down. Got it diagnosed with HONDA and they stated I needed a new IACV (idle air control valve) and a IAT Sensor (intake air temperature sensor). I changed that also and car still has the same problems. I NEED HEP PLEASE !!!!!!!! Can anyone out there help me?

Hi there,

have you check that all the vacuum lines are correct and that there is no vacuum leak at the manifold.

This is a common problem and often it is vacuum related, so best check this first, if that is all OK, we move on,
