2000 Honda Accord engine knock

My accord went into a ditch. My engine was in water. I have an exposed intake. I am concerned that it sucked in water. When I start it up I here a knocking sound. Is this water in the crank case? If I drain the oil out and let it dry wiil this help?

Hi haythe5,

Symptoms indicates water has entered the cylinders and bent a con-rod slightly. A compression test would confirm this.

Replacing th oil is not going to help.
