Electrical problem
2000 Honda Accord 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 177k miles

Dashboard instrument lights started to only work intermittently. If I tapped on the dash, the lights would sometimes come back on.
I pulled the cluster and everything looked okay, but then realized that when the far left wiring harness was moved slightly within its receptacle, the problem could be recreated. I shimmed that portion and problem was gone for about 6 months. Now, nothing fixes it.
I was wondering if anyone could think of a fix without replacing the cluster. I don't want the car to have the wrong miles listed on the odometer. Thanks.
