Stalls at idle

Engine Performance problem
2000 Honda Accord 6 cyl Automatic

I start up my car and try to let it idle, but instead it goes dead. Could it be the gas I put in it this morning? My husband put in wal mart gas, which I haven't put in it for a long while. Any suggestions?

Hi bamaMama07,

If problem was not present prior to filling up gas, it is possible you got bad gas.

Are you able to keep the engine running if you feather the throttle?

No it wasn't prior to filling up.
Once it gets going it is fine

If the Check Engine Lamp is not indicating, probably the idling speed is too low as well. Cleaning the throttle body and IAC would do wonders for erratic idling.
