Hi I have the Type R (H22A7 Engine). My engine keeps cutting out after a few miles and the oil light on dash always flashes before it cuts out and it seems to idle too low and has lack of power. I had the timing belt, power steering rack and oil and filter replaced recently. The garage insists it's not the timing but I have my doubts! Is it possible the problem is something else? This has been a mystery to several mechanics especially cause the car never broke down before timing belt was fitted. I would be very grateful for any advice
Thanks,
Gordon.

Hi there,

Check the timing belt setting again.

This being a DOHC engine, if one of the camshaft timing is not correctly installed, it would cause stalling. Engine power will also be much lower than it should be.
