2000 Honda Accord alignment

I recently backed into a 2000 Honda Accord's rear right wheel.
I was going extremely slow. I mean very slow, and there was no visible impact marks when I first talked to the owner of the other car.
But after a month he called me and told me I need to pay him $182.50.
$45 for wheel
$26 for wheel cover
$80 four wheel alignment
and the remainder in mounting, labor etc.
I am wondering if this guy really needs an alignment.
There was virtually no impact, again I was going very slow, and I think this guy is just trying to get something out of me.
But again do you think that the four wheel alignment is necessary?
Thanks

Well as small as a hit that you think you might have done, If hitting him, which you were in the wrong, you would have to pay for an alignment, Besides tire wear and pulling there is no other way to tell that you did not knock the alignment off.
A pot hole or curb, which does no damage to anything on car, will knock alignment off. It is best for you to pay for it now instead of after tire wear down the road causing you to pay for both front tires.
You can always go with the person to see if the alignment is needed by an alignment check so your price may be lower. ( Just for alignment check) NO matter what it needs to be put on alignment rack and machine to check if it needs alignment. If you hit my truck I would ask of you the same that - that person is asking for. It is not an unreasonable request.
