1999 Honda Accord Starting

We are having intermittent starting problems. The car normally starts and runs fine. Sometimes when you try to start it, it will start and then shut right back off. It seems like the gas is shut off. You can rev it up and it runs smooth but shuts right off. Then after a few times (sometimes 10 tries) it will start and run fine.

Hi Jefflems,

The symptoms described coincides with a faulty main relay and I would suggest checking it. Known to have bad circuit boards and resoldering of it can solve the problem.
