Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 115k miles

when cruising, if i suddenly lift my foot off the gas pedal, the speedometer and tachometer would drop to zero, then immediately bounce back up to the cruising speed and rpm. Sometimes when the meters drop to zero long enough, the maintanence light would come on then go back off, or the radio would blink.
This problem tends to not happen if I let go the pedal slowly. If I let go all of a sudden, it would happen a few times per day.

Hi icatchpike,

Got a feeling you have a failing ignition switch.

There was a recall for this item and you should check with your dealer if your vehicle is entitled for the recall.
