1999 Honda Accord shake of letting off gas?

1999 Honda Accord 6 cyl Automatic 158000 miles

My check engine light came on today and I noticed a few days ago the car was idling a little lower than normal. But I was driving on the free way and every time I would let off the gas the car would jerk. It starts up fine and shifts ok. But could this be a a serious engine problem or tranny problem. I don't want to think worse case scenario, but I love my car and need it as well. Or could this be a sensor that's lose or needs to be replaced?

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine manangement system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
