Hello,

I was driving in the highway at about 65 MPH and my car shuts down. I tried to put the gear in neutral but it ended up slipping to my Reverse gear. Now I can not reverse and when I shift to that gear it makes a really loud noise. The driving gear is fine but my car can not reverse anymore. Can you tell me if I would need to get a whole new tran and how much it might cost me to get this fix?

Thank you very much

Sounds like the transmission does need to be overhauled. The average cost depends where you go, but roughly look to spend $1500-$2000.
