After letting my car sit for ll days, when I started the engine it started to idle a 1200 RPM's. When I put the car in neutral after a minute the idle would fluctuate between 1200 and 2000 RPM's. Once in gear and driving, it would run smooth except when I removed my foot from the accelerator, than it would lurch while slowing down. After shutting the engine off and restarting the check engine light came on. Is it okay to drive until I can get it in to a repair shop.

It's fine to drive, just be careful. You probbly just need an Idle air control valve.
