my sister took her car to the shop to get the head gaskets fixed. after a month of getting the run around about the car and how long they had it, she was finally able to pick it up. she takes it the emmisions station and it doesnt pass. she then takes it to a different shop, they run a diagnostic and she had water in the engine and the head gaskets are leaking. what can she do? she does'nt want to deal with this particular mechanic company anymore but she knows they need to know what is happening. will she need another engine, or is this a fixable problem?

I recommend you talk to the shop that performed the work to see if they will warranty the work first of all. I'd also find out if they'd pay a portion of a repair bill if you were to take it somewhere else.

You're in a really tight situation, but sometimes the best thing to do is talk to the business owner and see where he stands.
