We also have a 1999 Honda Accord EX (ULEV-VTEC) that has been doing the same thing as other people have written to you about. We have replaced the fuel pump, BOTH oxygen sensors, 2 catalytic converters, the muffler, the nox-sensor, the oil sending unit, hmmm. Whatelse? We have been over this car every which way. The car shuts down when at an idle and sometimes while driving. It is very random. It won't start (but will turn) for about 2-3 minutes after it happens. Then, it runs fine until it happens again. No codes, no nothing. Any ideas? We need this car to work. Honda can't even figure it out.

I think that there is a problem with an ignition switch. Just try to replace it & I think the problem will be fixed. I have read such problem in many other forums & the fix I have found is ignition switch.

Also some other has changed the Main reay which in some cases has solves the problem.
