Ok so I went to start my car only an hour after last driveing it when it was fine. Then it wouldnt turn over so I jumped it and it started fine. I then drove it about 5 miles to a friends and turned it off. When I went to leave again it was hard to start because it barely turned over but did end up starting. So im going down the road and all of a sudden it wont get out of first gear. Im thinking its the altenator but im not sure because im no mechanic and it doesnt explain the transmission trouble. Please help

Hi rgolljr,

Either the charging system or battery is not working efficiently. You need to test the charging voltage.

If the electrical supply is insufficient, it could cause problems with the trans shifting time.
