We have been told that our car has a cracked head gasket. Will it still run with this condition? We are able to drive the car, it just overheats, no smoke, no noise. We do not believe the diagnosis. Please advise. Thanks.

Just like a doctor, get a second opinion.Have a chemical test done to detect exhaust gases in the cooling system. If it is blown, I wouldnt drive it, the more it is overheated or run hot, the more damage is being done to the piston rings and the valve springs
