It sounds like you might have a faulty crank position sensor.
Are you able to start the car back up after it stalls?
Is your check engine light illuminated? When a car unexpectedly stalls, it produces trouble codes, which can point to the issue.

You can also test your fuel pump to make sure if it is indeed bad. You should have 41-48 PSI of fuel pressure.
