Hi,

when I turn on my windshield wipers the left side wiper of my '98 accord jumps past its normal arc range and then jams against the A-post and won't return. The right side wiper works fine. What is the problem? Is there a nut that needs tightening (there's one on top of what I'm guessing is the wiper motor), or is it the motor?

Thanks for your help

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

Set the wipers at off position, and make sure the faulty wiper is sitting down where it should rest. If not loosen nut at wiper arm and wiggle arm till it frees up, re position and tighten feel to make suer the arm is locked on with the nut tight. if not locked the pivot may be faulty and will have to be replaced. If tight and wiper still is faulty , the regulator linkages will be worn.
