I just had this "check engine light" on in my car. The troubleshooting code is P0420 and the computer gives out a diagnosis of "Catalyst Efficiency low-Bank 1". But since my car only has run less than 80,000 miles so far, it is more like due to other problems than catalyst defficiency. What should I look at to determine the potential problem(s)?

Hi,

Basically it should either be the catalyst or the sensor that is not accurate. Wiring connections might be another cause and worse case scenario, the ECU is malfuntioning.
