Computer problem
1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i need to replace my computer apparently. according to my emissions test that i failed it said it had a problem code 1259. took it to a honda dealership and it came out that i need a new computer. is that true? also if i find a computer for another year being before 1998 or after will it work. does it need to be programmed by honda?

Hi odacunha,

P1259 = V-tec malfunction so what has it got to do with replacing a computer?
