Recently had the timing belt replaced, hoses, filters. Today when driving shifts fine however when accelerating tachometer hits 3K or higher, car hardly accelerates. Have to keep tach at 3K or higher to drive. Parked car, opened hood and smelled something burning. Opened oil cap and looks like oil may be low, head a dripping noise. Any ideas?

sounds like transmission is slipping. if its an automatic check the transmission fluid level. if it is a standard, you need a new clutch. hope this helps. feedback is much appreciated.

Its a 5 speed manual. I'm able to shift gears still but the acceleration is horrible. That can still be the clutch? The clutch does feel sqishy when I step on it. Pardon my ignorance, I work on computers but I don't know nearly enough about cars.

Thanks for your help
