a simple way to do it is take some brake clean and gently mist it around the intake manifold and around the vacuum lines, if there is a change in the idle, then your leak is in the vicinity at which you sprayed the mist. usually a vacuum leak will cause an engine light to be displayed on the dash, and also you will have an increase in idle.
