1997 Honda Accord Check engine light - code 753

Check engine light is on and a friend put his diagonostic tool on and came with code 753. Something to do with shifting. Common problem? Can you identify how soon should we fix it.

It's the shift control solenoid A. It's not common but not unusual either. Most of the time the problem is a faulty solenoid, but without daignosing the car I can't tell you this for sure.
I wouldn't classify the problem as an emergency but it's not something you should ignore either.
