1997 Honda Accord Car shakes violently and will not Move

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Last week when shifting into drive, my car began to shake extremely violently as soon as I pressed the gas and would not move. When I jacked the car up and rotated the front tires, it was operable again and I was able to drive it about 100 miles before the problem repeated. The shaking occurs when I hit the gas in either forward or reverse. If I jack the car up and rotate the front tires, it will generally run perfectly again for a few miles before it becomes completely inoperable. Thanks once again.

Hi corynoyes,

Something is binding and jacking up the vehicle and turning the front wheels releases the binding to enable you to drive again.

I would suggest checking the CV inner joints for seizure due to lack of lubricants.
