I have a 97 honda accord 4 cylinder that is leaking oil under valve cover gasket. Oil is also on my spark plugs. I was informed by a mechanic that I should replace valve cover, spark plugs and wires and I believe he said O-rings as well. He quoted me a price of 220.00 to repair problem. Is this a reasonable price or am I being cheated?

I would urge you to look further into this issue. I have a 1996 Honda Accord and have the same problem. Guess what, I have found others with the same issue. At this point I don't think that these failures are isolated. Are you having tranny problems as well? Are you having issues with your window's moving slowly? Any issues with door locks?

Sometimes my car skips so it could very well be the transmission. My driver side window motor and switch went out last year and since I refused to pay 200 to get it fixed, it is still not working. My passenger side window is moving slower now so I guess it will go out soon. i haven't had any issues with door locks

I thought as much. I am attempting to get as many people together and approach Honda America (yes these Hondas were built in America don't let anyone tell you otherwise) and get them to fix these problems as part of goodwill compensation. Their number is 1-800-999-1009. Like I said before. I am finding that these are not isolated incidences.

I too am having problems with the driver window, the glass would come out of the track, so I changed the regulator and now rolls up and down slow. It gets better when I spray silicon but with time it gets worse.
