If driven in the rain the car slides on the wet road. The tires are good. I'm wondering if an alignment will help?

Hello –
If it is sliding it sounds more like it is hydroplaning…….
Also when it first starts to rain the oil is raised to the top and oil and water don’t mix…..thus it is slippery.
Check this link on tires – yours may have less tread than you think…….

Then I would check into the alignment
